Lot Description

A pair of early Victorian salad servers in Old English pattern. Hallmarked London 1849, maker's mark distorted, tentatively attributed to John & Henry Lias. Weight 9.08 ozt (282.5 grams).

Both appear in fairly good overall condition displaying  general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Fork tines are a little bent but still with sharp tips. Bowl has faired well. No personal engravings. Possible conversion from a basting spoon. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's marks a little distorted.
