A late Victorian silver belt buckle, the openwork form with central stylised tulip within scroll surround, hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd, Birmingham 1897, gross length measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm). Together with a modern silver belt buckle of Art Nouveau style, hallmarked Birmingham 1985, maximum length measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm). Gross weight 3.1 ozt (98 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some areas of heavier tarnishing. Rubbing to the Victorian example with a little loss of definition.
