Lot Description
A Victorian silver vesta case of rectangular form, the front case with floral scroll decoration surrounding the initialled shield cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1887, height measuring 4.5 cm. Together with three further Victorian and later silver vesta cases, hallmarked Birmingham 1898, 1900 and 1910. Gross weight 96 grams. (4).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints. The hinge to the plain oval example has a very loose hinge and the lid therefore will not stay shut, also with a small dent and spilt to seam on lid. Personal engraving to one example only. Hallmarks overall are clear and legible, some maker's marks are worn.
