Lot 849

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver vesta case with foliate scroll engraving surrounding a vacant cartouche to the front, hallmarked William Hair Haseler, Birmingham 1909. Together with an early twentieth century plain silver vesta case, hallmarked Chester 1910 and two 1930's matches cases with engine-turned decoration. Gross weight 3.51 ozt (109 grams). (4).

Postage: Auction Default

Total lot weight: No

All four cases display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with their age and use. Some quite heavy tarnishing is visible and they would all benefit from a clean and polish. Some slight surface dints and bumps, especially visible to the plainer case. All hinges and clasps appear in working order. Slight loss of detail to some of the decoration. The hallmarks are all legible.
