Lot Description
A silver pair case pocket watch by S.May. Silver inner case, hallmarked London 1787, outer case with repousse decoration testing as silver. Signed key wind full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement, pierced balance cock and square baluster pillars. Silvered dial with hour markers. Outer case 51mm.

<li>Movement is currently functioning.
<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Verge escapement is currently sitting at an angle.
<li>Dial shows marks, scratches and visible tarnishing.
<li>Hands are of different colours/appearance indicating one is a later replacement. Hands have marks and tarnishing.
<li>Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.
<li>Inner case shows a significant repair around the pendent. Number '1751' stamped to the inside has cut the metal on the inner case. Inner case appears to have been polished in the past. Inner case shows scratches, marks and some dents as well as have wear which appears to have been cased by being inside the outer case. Outer case has visible tarnishing, marks, scratches and wear to the decoration. Button to open the case shows some damage.
<li>Pendent and bow have marks, scratches and small dints.<p>
