A late 19th century silver and gold sapphire and diamond bar brooch. The cushion-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond cluster, with old-cut diamond line sides, to the later bar and brooch fitting. Estimated total diamond weight 1.10cts. Length 4.1cms. Weight 4gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with general age and wear.<p>
<li>Settings and stones date from the late 19th century, later converted to a brooch, with later bar and fitting. Significant evidence of repairs to the settings and gallery. One claw deficient to the sapphire setting.<p>
<li>Diamonds differ slightly in appearance, some possible replacements. Some have slight yellow or brownish hues.<p>
<li>Scattered to large inclusions visible to the unaided eye. Durability of some may be impaired. Diamonds fair to good condition with some significant nicks.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Sapphire medium blue, fairly good clarity with typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Stone in fair to good condition with some abrasion and a large nick to the girdle at one edge.<p>
