A 1970s lapis lazuli necklace, by Archibald Dumbar. Designed as an graduated series of grooved openwork and textured angular panels, with inter-changable faceted free-form lapis lazuli collet and textured panel highlights, to the similarly-designed back chain and partially concealed clasp. Signed A.Dumbar. Length 42.6cms. Weight 81.8gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Some scuffs where overlapping panels have caught.
<li>Lapis lazuli panels are interchangeable for textured panels of similar outline. Seperate compartments in fitted case for loose components.
<li>Lapis lazuli untested for natural colour origin.
<li>Lapis lazuli a slightly mottled light to deep blue hue, flecks of pyrite..<p>
<li>Stones in good condition with minor to moderate abrasions, smaller panels with moderate abrasion to facet edges and very minor nicks.<p>
<li>Personal inscription to reverse of largest panel '10.3.'68'.
<li>Case shows moderate wear, scuffs.
