An agate intaglio seal ring. The mottled agate, carved to depict a shield with scrolling surround and Marquis crown surmount, the reverse carved with the monogram 'PGC' and similar crown surmount, to the collet mount and tapered band. Weight 18.5gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Surface scratches and wear in keeping with general age and use.
<li>Ring probably later built to house the intaglio.
<li>Agate a mottled reddish orange through transluscent, with small dark areas.<p>
<li>Agate in good condition with minor abrasions and nicks.<p>
<li>Ring size P 1/2.<p>
