Maritime Cricket, The Atlantic Steamship Athletic Association, The Lipton Cup, gold winners prize medal, a batsman before a wicket, rev. engraved ASAA LIPTON CUP WINNERS MAURETANIA 1910 within a wreath, 9ct., 25mm, weight. 8.2g, with suspension loop. Very fine, rare and interesting.
This was the final game played for the Thomas Lipton Cup, which took place at Staten Island, New York, between teams from the SS Mauretania and SS Majestic. The cup’s benefactor was the Scottish magnate of tea fame.
