A late 19th century silver and gold emerald and diamond brooch. The pear-shape emerald and rose-cut diamond cluster, suspended from a similarly-cut diamond and triangular-shape emerald openwork surmount. Length 4.4cms. Weight 14.4gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Some settings are heavily worn.
<li>The brooch appears to have been put together from late 19th century components.
<li>Tarnishing and areas of discolouration visible to the silver settings
<li>Diamond fairly well matched.
<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
<li>Visible dirt to the back of many of the diamonds, some are drawing brown.
<li>Chips and areas of abrasion visible to many diamonds.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Profuse inclusions visible to the pear-shape and triangular-shape emerald.
<li>Surface reaching inclusion to the triangular-shape emerald which appears as a quite significant chip.
<li>Both emeralds are backed, limitations of mount mean we are unable to assess the saturation of colour.
<li>There is some blue discolouration visible to the backing of the triangular shape emerald.
<li>With back clip fitting.
