Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Some settings are heavily worn.

The brooch appears to have been put together from late 19th century components.

Tarnishing and areas of discolouration visible to the silver settings

Diamond fairly well matched.

Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

Visible dirt to the back of many of the diamonds, some are drawing brown.

Chips and areas of abrasion visible to many diamonds.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Profuse inclusions visible to the pear-shape and triangular-shape emerald.

Surface reaching inclusion to the triangular-shape emerald which appears as a quite significant chip.

Both emeralds are backed, limitations of mount mean we are unable to assess the saturation of colour.

With back clip fitting.
