Lot Description
An open face pocket watch by Coltman & Day. Silver case, hallmarked London 1871. Signed key wind full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Cream dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 55mm. Together with a silver pocket watch.

Cotman & Day pocket watch.<P>
<li>Movement is currently functioning.
<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Screw heads show signs of previous intervention.
<li>Dial has a noticeable chip around the subsidiary seconds dial. Dial also shows marks.
<li>Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.
<li>Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.
<li>Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Case shows noticeable wear. Hinges also show wear to the corners.
<li>Pendent and bow show wear as well as marks and scratches. Bow is loose.<p>
Silver pocket watch.<p>
Movement is currently functioning, dial has noticeable cracks and marks, glass has noticeable scratches and marks, Case shows marks, scratches, dints and a visible patch of tarnishing to the case back. Crown shows visible wear and is a different colour than the body of the case, it appears it has lost all its plating.<p>
