MURRLE BENNETT & CO. - an early 20th century citrine and pearl brooch. The central articulated panel with an oval-shape citrine collet, to the openwork surround and scrolling terminals, suspending a freshwater pearl. Maker's mark for Murrle Bennett & Co. Length 4.1cms. Weight 7.4gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Citrine medium yellowish-orange, well saturated, with good clarity.<p>
<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>Freshwater pearl with white body colour and pink overtones. Some nacre damage visible. Pearl untested.<p>
<li>Possible replacement pin.<p>
