Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold gem-set cross pendant. The foil-back chrysoberyl cluster, within an alternating similarly-set chrysoberyl and topaz surround, to the cannetille panel and later cultured pearl fringe, suspended from a gilt metal chain. Length of pendant 6.3cms. Weight of pendant 11gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Small area of heavier scratches and discolouration to the reverse.
<li>Areas of discolouration near later mounts for cultured pearl drops.
<li>Surmount later addition/replacement.
<li>Gems are foil back. Chrysoberyl appear a well matched light medium yellowish green hue.
<li>Topaz show deterioration to the pink backing.
<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions, some small nicks.<p>
