Lot Description

A Edwardian silver sauce boat of typical form with gadrooned rim, high arch scroll handle with lion terminal and raised on three shell mounted paw feet, hallmarked Barker Brothers Silver Ltd., Birmingham 1936, maximum height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm). Together with a modern silver mounted bottle coaster of plain convex outline, turned wooden base with inset circular button to the centre, hallmarked M C Hersey & Son Ltd., London 2006, rim diameter measures 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm). Gross weighable silver 3.0 ozt (94.6 grams). (2).

The lot is in good overall condition, displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor rubbing to the outline of the coaster. Compression is visible on the interior body of the sauce boat from one foot and minor dints and bumps to the spout. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
