Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver bowl of circular footed form, ornately embossed with flowers and scroll motifs surrounding twin opposed cartouche, one vacant and the other engraved. Hallmarked W Spurrier & Co., Birmingham 1914. Height measuring 6 inches (15.2 cm), weight 13.96 ozt (434 grams).

The bowl displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Various stains and remnants of sticker marks and would benefit from a clean and polish. General dints and bumps throughout and the foot is slightly compressed. Engraving reads 'Sellors Spice Cup'. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
