An Edwardian silver toast rack of graduated arch form with five moulded bars, central loop handle and a rounded rectangular openwork base on four scroll feet, hallmarked Carrington & Co (John Bodman Carrington), London 1902, length measuring 4 1/4 inches (10.7 cm). Together with a later seven bar example of angular arched shape, hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1929, length measuring 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm). Weight 8.03 ozt (249.7 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both toast racks display general wear including surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Dints and knocks to both. Repairs to one of the feet on the Edwardian toast rack and all the feet appear to have been knocked slightly. There is also a crack starting to appear along one of the joins of the base. The later toast rack is a little misshapen and wobbles slightly. The hallmarks to both are clear and legible, some slight rubbing.
