Lot Description
A late Victorian circular footed bowl, ornately embossed with foliate scrolls interspersed with bead and lobed motifs, later presentation inscription to one side. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1897. Rim diameter measures 7 7/8 inches (20 cm), weight 10.09 ozt (313.9 grams).

Condition Report
The bowl displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Some general dints and bumps. Residues of polish visible. Knock to foot rim so that it wobbles a little. The maker's mark appears rubbed but legible. The hallmarks are clear and legible, slight rubbing to date letter.
