Lot 192

Lot Description

A small Victorian silver goblet, embossed with floral swag motifs, personal engraving to one side, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1865, height measuring 5 1/8 inches (13 cm). Together with a 1930's silver christening mug with name engraving to the base, hallmarked London 1935, and a plain silver beaker also with a personal engraving, hallmarked London 1933. Weight 9.96 ozt (309.7 grams). (3).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All three pieces display general wear including surface scratches, nicks and contact marks, some marks fairly heavy. The Victorian goblet is very heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Seam lines are also visible and the rim is a little misshapen. Several dints and bumps to the beaker and mug, especially the mug, which also has some heavy knocks to the foot rim. Some of the hallmarks and maker's marks appear worn or rubbed but all are still legible.
