Lot Description
An Edwardian silver five bar toast rack of rounded rectangular form with central loop handle and standing on four ball feet, hallmarked William Aitken, Birmingham 1902. Together with a 1920's silver seven bar toast rack of arched form, hallmarked Birmingham 1928. Length of both measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), weight 5.89 ozt (183.2 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both toast racks display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some slight knocks. The Edwardian toast rack displays solder repairs at a couple of the joins of the bars to the base and there is a break at one of the joins. The arch form toast rack wobbles a little when in the standing position. The hallmarks to both are clear and legible, however maker's mark to arch rack is partly worn away.
