Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver cream jug with shaped rim above a plain girdle, having a scrolled handle and raised on three stylised paw feet, hallmarked Robert Pringle & Sons, Chester 1910. Together with a footed open salt with applied foliate and shell rim, pseudo hallmarks, possibly Chinese, and a Victorian silver vessel. Gross weight 13.51 ozt (420.3 grams). (3).

All three pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier staining and tarnishing to interior of open salt. All three would benefit from a polish. Some surface dints and bumps, mainly visible to the Victorian vessel. Also possible alterations to this piece. Knocks to the feet of the cream jug and an impression from one of them is visible to the interior. Some rubbing and slight distortion but the hallmarks are mainly legible.
