Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver christening mug of tapering form to a footed base, decorated with pendant husk motifs and having a personal name engraving, hallmarked Gorham Manufacturing Co., Birmingham 1919. Together with a smaller, plainer example engraved with the same name, hallmarked Chester 1904, and a third christening mug also with personal engraving, hallmarked Birmingham 1914. Height of tallest measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), combined weight 13.59 ozt (422.6 grams). (3).

Condition Report
All three mugs display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Residues of polish to some areas. Some dints and bumps. Also some heavier scratches and pitting marks, especially to interiors. Visible seam lines, especially around the handle of the smaller mug where the metal is starting to split. The hallmarks are clear and legible, some slight distortion to makers marks.
