Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, each of bellied form with a shell and gadroon rim above lobed and fluted decoration to the lower body and raised on four ball feet, foliate capped handles to the cream and sugar, the teapot with stained wood handle and finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield 1911. Teapot length measures 11 3/4 inches (30 cm), gross weight 42.42 ozt (1319.4 grams).

Condition Report
The tea set appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavy staining to interior of teapot. Some small dints and bumps. Residues of polish. Hinged lid to teapot appears in good working order and is struck with the lion passant. The staining is flaking off the finial. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
