A 1920's silver inkstand, the oblong form standing on scroll feet with scalloped rim, dual pen rests, central compartmentalised lidded box flanked by two glass inkwells. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Sheffield 1929. Length measuring 12 1/4 inches (31 cm), gross weighable silver 40 ozt (1259 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Two bolt fixtures missing to the underside. Slight abrasions to the bottom edge of glass. Minor dints and bumps. Gilding to box interior is a little worn. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Corresponding hallmarks to inkwell collars.
