A late Victorian silver mounted table cigarette box, the exterior having applied foliate and scroll pierced panels embossed in high relief with vacant central cartouche to hinged cover, opening to reveal softwood lined interior having dual compartments, hallmarked Henry Mathews, Birmingham 1897, length measures 6 2/8 inches (16 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver heart shaped trinket box having moulded rim and silver-gilt interior, hallmarked Deakin & Frances Ltd., Birmingham 1904, length measures 2 3/8 inches (6 cm). (2).

Table cigarette box with small holes to silver mounts, particularly to top, with remnants of polish and wear to exterior edges, hallmarks clear and legible, lock present but no key. Trinket box displaying general minor surface scratches commensurate with age and use, and minor rubbing to gilding but good condition. Hinges to both boxes in good working order and hallmarks clear and legible.
