Lot Description
A George IV silver meat platter by Paul Storr, of shaped oval form having a gadroon border interspersed with shell and foliate motifs and enclosing twin-opposed engraved armorials with the Latin motto 'Non Nobis Solum'. Hallmarked London 1829 with the maker's mark. Length measuring 17 inches (43.2 cm), weight 65.29 ozt (2031 grams).

Condition Report
The platter appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general wear including surface scratching, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous deep scratches and nicks visible to the centre and also heavier wear and contact marks to the underside. The underside bears crudely stippled initials 'V K M'. The hallmarks are clear and legible, slight distortion to maker's mark but still legible. Also with scratched weights.
