A George III Irish silver ladle, the lion crested terminal and stem having foliate engraved decoration, leading to the shell moulded bowl. Hallmarked Michael Keating, Dublin 1795. Length measures 13 4/8 inches (34.5 cm), weight 5.53 ozt (172 grams).

The ladle displays heavy tarnishing throughout. There are areas of rubbing with slight loss of definition to decoration. General wear, surface scratches and marks. Hallmarks with light wear but still clear and legible.
