A late Victorian large silver mounted flask, the oblong form with glass body covered with alligator skin, silver collar and domed hinged lid having a bayonet locking mechanism, hallmarked Sheffield 1900, maker's mark indistinct, possibly M&?.

Condition Report
Overall in fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Maker's mark indistinct, possibly M&?, some slight rubbing but other hallmarks are clear and legible. Heavier tarnishing and scratches around the edges of collar and top of lid. Some losses to the alligator skin, with signs of previous lifting and re-gluing, in need of attention.
