Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver mounted pin cushion of capstan form, hallmarked Birmingham 1919, base diameter measuring 6.7 cm. Together with a modern silver lace bobbin, London 1971 and shell box. (3).

All three pieces display general wear, surface marks and scratches. Several small dints and creases to the pin cushion mount. The material mount to the underside is quite worn and partly coming off. The hallmarks are partly rubbed and distorted. The bobbin appears in good overall condition and the hallmarks are clear and legible. The wire connecting the balls are twisted and bent. There is some damage to the ribbon and gold edge of the shell box.
