Lot Description
An Art Deco silver cigarette case, the oblong form with engine-turned decoration, guilloche enamel shaded in pale pink to green to the front case and opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd, 1939. Height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm), weight 3.2 ozt (102 grams).

Condition Report
The case displays general wear, surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. There are several deeper scratches and nicks visible to the enamelled top. There is some damage to the enamel, mainly around the edge with some cracks and small losses. Further minor dints to the underside of the case. Hinge and clasp appear in good working order. The interior was likely once gilded but is now faded. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
