A 1920's silver mounted jewellery box, the oval form with tortoiseshell set hinged cover and opening to a nineteenth century lady’s muff pistol, signed J Child and measuring 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm), the box hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1927. Together with a further early twentieth century silver mounted tortoiseshell jewellery box, hallmarked London 1912. (3).
