Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver open salts, each with floral embossed decoration and raised on three pad feet, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1899. Together with a larger pedestal open salt with shell and scroll rim, hallmarked Sheffield 1902, a mother-of-pearl and silver dish, hallmarks worn but probably Birmingham 1907, eight assorted condiment spoons, some plated, and a cased set of 1930's teaspoons, hallmarked Birmingham 1935. Silver weight 6.77 ozt (210.5 grams).

In varied state, all pieces displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. All would benefit from a clean and polish as some quite heavy tarnishing to some. Minor dints and bumps. A couple of small splits to rims of the pair of salts. There are some rim chips to mother of pearl dish and the filled silver foot is loose. Some of the hallmarks appear rubbed but most are legible.
