Lot Description
A late 19th century 18ct gold enamel and paste brooch. Designed as a series of partially scroll engraved loops, with overlaid blue enamel, oval-shape pink paste and cultured pearl highlights. Length 4.8cms. Weight 11.9gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Damage to several areas of enamel.
<li>Soft solder visible to several areas where the brooch has been repaired/altered.
<li>Brooch fitting appears to have been added/replaced at a later date.
<li>Gas bubbles and conchoidal fractures visible to pink paste.
<li>One pink paste is circular in shape and does not match.
<li>The cultured pearls are drill beads and have been added at a later date.
