Lot Description

A late 19th century silver and gold, diamond and ruby ring. The old-cut diamond collet, to the rose-cut diamond and calibre-cut ruby tapered chevron sides. Principal diamond estimated 0.40ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Weight 3.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Slight discolouration to the shoulders, possible replacement band/resize.

<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>


<li>Rubies are a well matched deep medium slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Rubies in fair to good condition with moderate facet-edge abrasions.<p>
