A late 18th/early 19th century portrait miniature pendant. Of oval outline, lampooning the last mistress of Louis XV, Madame du Barry, as a white peacock, within a white metal foliate pendant surround. Length 4.5cms. Weight 20.2gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Slight paint loss and drying to the background of the image, loss of gilt overlay.
<li>Bevelled glass mount with small nicks and surface scratches.
<li>White metal mount with traces of gilt finish, general tarnish and discolouration.
