Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian small open salts, the lobed octagonal form embellished with fruiting and floral motifs and matching salt spoons, hallmarked Florence Warden, Chester 1898, maximum width measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm). Together with a Victorian silver christening mug, hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1866, height measuring 3 inches (8 cm). Gross weight 2.5 ozt (78 grams). (2).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Salts in good overall condition, gilding worn to interior. Mug with more obvious wear and tear, of thin gage, solder repair to rim, handle lopsided and numerous minor dents across the body and foot. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
