Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver epergne, the central vase with hexagonal sided tapering stem and wide flower shape rim, having three smaller removable vases on scrolled supports and conforming in shape and design, all rising from a circular filled base. Hallmarked Birmingham 1919, maker's mark partly distorted but likely Hobson, James & Gilby. Maximum height measures 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Condition Report
In fair overall condition, the epergne displaying some general wear, surface scratches and marks commensurate with the age and use. Some quite heavy tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. Large dint to rim of filled base. Some dints and creases in the metal around the top of two of the smaller vases. Further small dints and bumps to other areas. Slight rubbing to hallmarks and maker's mark partly distorted, but all mainly legible. Also clear part hallmarks to removable parts. One of the scroll holders appears unmarked.
