A 1930's silver salver of shaped circular outline, having a ribbon and reed rim enclosing a border of husk motifs and a personal presentation inscription to the centre below an engraving of 'His Master's Voice', the whole raised on three scrolled feet. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1935. Maximum diameter measures 12 inches (30.5 cm), weight 23.76 ozt (739.3 grams).
'Presented to Frederick James Allen by the Directors of Electric & Musical Industries Limited as a mark of appreciation of loyal service extending over a period of 25 years. July 1936'

The salver displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Some heavier scratches and contact marks visible to the centre. Residues of polish. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also with impressed maker's name and address.
