Lot 377

Lot Description

A 1930's silver mounted lamp base with filled square base rising to a tapering column and having engine-turned decoration throughout with Greek key border detail. Hallmarked British Metallising Co Ltd., London 1937. Maximum height measures 14 1/4 inches (36.2 cm).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The lamp base displays some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some rubbing and slight loss of detail to the decoration, especially on the base. Small splits starting to appear along the corners and joins on the base. It has been previously wired for electrical use and would require re-wiring. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed but still clearly legible.
