A French wine taster of circular form with coin inset to base, decorated with circular bosses and having a coiled rope handle, French assay marks including Minerva guarantee mark for 800 standard. Together with a smaller similar example, also with Minerva mark. Respective lengths measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm) and 4 inches (10.2 cm), weight 4.57 ozt (142.3 grams). (2).

Both display some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor edge nicks and dints to rims. Some rubbing to assay marks and both with partly distorted maker's marks.
