Lot Description

An Edwardian silver playing card box, the plain rectangular form with domed and hinged lid opening to reveal a central dividing bar to hold two packs. Hallmarked Grey & Co., Birmingham 1904. Maximum height measures 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), gross weight 80 grams.

The box displays some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are several small dints and bumps throughout including edges and corners. Hinge appears in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Part hallmarks to lid. The lot also contains some playing cards but they are incomplete sets.
