Lot Description

A cased Victorian silver novelty shot cup modelled as a thimble, with raised lettering 'Just a thimbleful' and central shield cartouche with engraved monogram. Hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1878. Height measures 5.7 cm, weight 39.4 grams.

The thimble appears in good overall condition, displaying some general light wear, surface scratches and marks. Also some tarnishing. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Case is in a well used and worn condition with some losses and does not shut properly.
