Lot Description

An Edwardian silver card case, the oblong form, embossed with a hillside scene of a stag and deer within floral scroll and diaper surround with similar decoration to the case reverse. Hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd, Birmingham 1905. Height of case measuring 4 inches (10 cm), weight 1.8 ozt (59 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dents and bumps, further dents to corners. Removal of an engraving to the cartouche on the case reverse and the silver feels thin. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
