A George IV silver swing handle basket, the circular form fluted and rising to an openwork vine gallery and conforming foliate border. Hallmarked S C Younge & Co, Sheffield 1827. Diameter measuring 11 1/2 inches (29 cm).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Partly erased or very worn crest to the centre base, large solder repair also to this area. Swing handle with full hallmarks, no maker's mark to the body.
