A mid 19th century 18ct gold gem-set foil-back brooch. Of openwork design, the pear-shape foil-back pink topaz, with foliate cannetille surround, to the similarly-set beryl and foliate cannetille sides. Length 5.4cms. Weight 8.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Small areas of repair/restructure, visible to the back.
<li>Later fittings.
<li>Some possible replacement gems, one of the circular and oval-shape gems appears light pink, the others appear yellowish green.
<li>Deterioration to the foil backing.
<li>Gems well matched.<p>
<li>Stones in good to fair condition with mostly minor abrasions, some small nicks.<p>
