A Georgian diamond memorial brooch. The foil-back rose-cut diamond, with similarly-cut diamond scalloped surround and trefoil border. Glazed hair panel reverse, engraved with inscription dated 1809. Diameter 2.2cms. Weight 5.3gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>One diamond chipped, few with small nicks.
<li>engraving reads 'Martha Handfield, Ob 22 Nov 1809, At 69.'
