Scotland, Scottish Football League, 9ct gold medal awarded to a Celtic FC player, Scottish lion rampant on shield below thistle, rev. engraved 'CELTIC F.C. RU.UP ROBERT WHITELAW 1930-31, oval 26x36mm, 15.1g, with foliate suspension loop. Good very fine, rare.
Robert Whitelaw played half-back with Celtic Football Club from 1930 to 1932 and again in 1934. He also played for many other English, Scottish and Northern Irish clubs during his career, including Southampton.
