A Georgian gold ivory and enamel mourning ring. The marquise-shape ivory, with sepia monogram PR, suspended from a garland swag, to the white enamel and script band 'Peter Ramsey Ob: 27 Oct 1781 Ae 48'. Ring size O 1/2. Weight 5gms.
<li>Peter Ramsey was registered as Chancery and clerk of the Patents in the late 1700's in Jamaica and is buried in St. Catherines church of the same.<p>

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Small chips and minor losses to the enamel.
<li>Slightly deeper scratches to reverse or ring head.
<li>Glue or glue-like substance to middle of the ivory panel, possible fine cracks.
<li>Length of ring head 2.4cms.
