Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver dish of fluted oval form, having moulded rim above foliate scroll pierced panels and raised on four scrolled feet, single engraved initial to the centre. Hallmarked Boots Pure Drug Company, Birmingham 1919. Maximum length measures 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm), weight 6.02 ozt (187.4 grams).

The dish appears in a heavily tarnished state including a patch of green tarnishing. There is some general wear, also surface scratches and marks, all in keeping with the age and use. Knocks to a couple of the feet. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
