Lot Description
A mid-twentieth century silver four piece tea service, comprising a tea and hot water pot, cream jug and sugar bowl, each of plain tapering form to a footed base below a Celtic style border, wood handles and finials to the tea and hot water pots. Hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1957/8. Together with a matched silver plated sugar bowl by Mappin & Webb. Gross silver weight 40.19 ozt (1250 grams).

Condition Report
The tea set appears in fair to good overall condition, displaying general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Large knock to foot rim of the hot water pot and the hinged lid is out of shape. Split through the wood finial of the teapot. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
